For years, queer spaces in London have been disappearing, and lesbian spaces have been hit hardest.

Right now, there are only a tiny handful of dedicated lesbian venues left in the entire UK. At the same time, so many queer people, especially lesbians, trans people and non-binary people, still struggle to find places where they can fully relax, socialise and feel safe being themselves.

We want to change that.

We’re creating a queer-led neighbourhood bar in South East London: a warm, welcoming, joyful space built around community, culture and genuinely inclusive hospitality.

Think:

– Incredible drinks from queer owned brands,

– Seasonal food from queer chefs and kitchens,

– Live music and DJs,

– Drag, cabaret and performance,

– Fundraisers and community events,

– Cosy daytime hangouts,

– And late nights where everyone feels looked after.

Not just another bar. A real queer home.

Where lesbians and queer people can actually gather without feeling like an afterthought.

A place where trans women feel safe.

Where non-binary people feel included.

A place to celebrate, flirt, dance, perform, eat, laugh and build community.

Queer venues matter. They always have.

They’re where friendships happen, where people find themselves, where creativity grows, where communities gather and where people feel less alone.

But spaces like this don’t appear by accident, and they definitely don’t survive without community support.

That’s why we’re asking for your help.

Your donation will help us build:

– A safer and more accessible venue,

– A platform for queer artists and performers,

– Jobs and opportunities for queer creatives,

– And a permanent queer space in South East London that people can rely on for years to come.

If you’ve ever wished there were more queer spaces that felt truly welcoming, community-led and joyful, this is your chance to help create one.

Let’s build the bar we all wish already existed, a cozy, chaotic, sexy, community led, lesbian and trans centred bar in South East London.
